Who are prepaid phone plans for?

Prepaid phone plans are for anyone who does not qualify for Lifeline, or who already has Lifeline with another household member and needs a second line. If you might qualify for Lifeline, check the eligibility rules first: Lifeline service is $0 a month for eligible households.

What is included in a prepaid plan?

Each plan lists its monthly price, high-speed data, talk and text, hotspot and any other terms before you buy. Plans renew monthly when you pay, and you can change plans at renewal.

Can I switch from prepaid to Lifeline later?
