Lifeline service terms
- Lifeline is a government assistance program. Only eligible consumers may enroll, and the benefit is non-transferable.
- Only one Lifeline benefit is allowed per household, whether wireless or wireline.
- You must provide true and complete information. False statements can be punished by fine or imprisonment and can lead to removal from the program.
- You must recertify your eligibility every year.
- You must use your service at least once every 30 days. If you do not, we will notify you, and if you still do not use it within 15 days, the benefit will be removed.
- You must tell us within 30 days if you no longer qualify or if someone else in your household gets Lifeline.
Devices
Device offers, models, condition (new or certified pre-owned) and any one-time co-pay vary by state, eligibility and stock and are shown before you submit your application. Devices include the manufacturer warranty. Device unlocking follows applicable FCC rules and our unlocking policy.
Service
Plan features, such as minutes, texts and data, are described at sign-up and on our Lifeline plans page. High-speed data may be slowed after your monthly amount is used. Coverage is not available everywhere, and service may be affected by terrain, buildings and network conditions.

Your phone can call 911 at any time. Location information may be less precise indoors or in some areas. Keep your address up to date with us.
Acceptable use
You may not use our service for illegal activity, to harass others, to resell service, or in a way that harms the network or other customers.
Cancelling or transferring
You may cancel service or transfer your Lifeline benefit to another provider at any time. Transfers follow the program rules.
